Local Uist Firm Voove headed north to Stornoway, Isle of Lewis this week to provide stable high-speed internet access for an NHS Living It Up event, hosted in the Stornoway Town Hall. In under an hour, the Town Hall was connected via a 20mb satellite internet connection, giving the organisers and delegates lightning-fast wireless Internet Access
Voove has been providing its’ mobile satellite internet service throughout the Western Isles and across Scotland since last summer (2013). Its deployments have included community and tourist events, disaster recovery and have recently attracted interest from film production location scouts as well as from UK and US film production companies for upcoming location shoots in Scotland.
Based on the remote Western Isles of Scotland, the land that broadband forgot, Voove continues to innovate and provide solutions to bridge the gap to faster internet access.
